24/7 police coverage is easily achievable

The village council budgets for it but we're told it can't be done without five full-time officers.

(In fact at a Feb 2024 council meeting I was told by the police supervisor to forget about 24/7 coverage. Forever. He wants to double-up on shifts, which clearly the village cannot afford.  From Jan 2023 through March 2024 we averaged 94 hours a week of coverage, according to the timesheets.  More hours were paid but  there was a weekly average of 23 hours of overlap, which would be more than one officer working at the same time.)
